Spooky season, sweater weather, and fall are officially upon us! The temperature may be dropping, but we’re turning up the heat on falls treats in Wauwatosa. If you have a sweet tooth that needs satisfying or want some caffeine to get through the season, Wauwatosa has pumpkin spice and everything nice!
Sweets & Treats
Cranky Al’s
Stop by Cranky Al’s for a tasty treat to get you in the mood for fall festivities. It’s hard to go wrong with any of the donuts from this hidden gem. They have donuts topped with everything from sprinkles to bacon, making the only tough choice which one…or how many? Their seasonal flavors include chocolate espresso (with Highlands Honey), pumpkin Oreo long john, caramel apple, pumpkin cheese pocket, and a pumpkin crueller.
Black Twig Bakery
Black Twig Bakery is known for its full menu of tasty treats, as well as its exclusive menu featuring flavors of the month. This month, the delicious dessert shop is featuring everything from pumpkin spice latte and caramel apple macaroons to fall Funfetti sandwich cookies and more!
Rocket Baby Bakery
Rocket Baby Bakery offers artisanal breads, pastries, and sandwiches made fresh daily and a variety of coffees and teas. Their wide selection starts with ingredients sourced from Wisconsin and artisanal methods that allow time for flavors to develop. This fall, Rocket Baby unveiled their newest creations, a cherry cheesecake Danish and an earl grey raspberry scone! They’re worth checking out before they are gone for the season.
Coffee & Drinks
Café Blue
Café Blue specializes in coffee, sandwiches, wraps, soups, and more. Their daily breakfast and lunch specials are extensive, but their selection of fall drinks make them a must-visit spot over and over again this fall. Pumkin spice is just the tip of the iceberg, with others including a cinnamon honeypie latte, a caramel apple latte, and a pistachio cream americano. We could go on and on, but we’ll let you discover the rest!
Colectivo
Colectivo has two locations in Wauwatosa, and both have their full fall menu! Their drink specials would be enough for even the most intense fall fanatics with their spiced maple cream cold brew, pumpkin spice fluff latte, spiced apple cider, and cranberry apple cider spritz. If you’re looking for more fall flavor, they have a pumpkin scone, a peanut butter oat chocolate chip cookie, and a cranberry orange cream danish. We recommend checking out both locations for “research” purposes.
Stone Creek Coffee
The Milwaukee based coffee shop found a home just outside The Village in 2017 and have been a Wauwatosa staple ever since. Stone Creek Coffee specializes in farm-to-cup coffee, with high quality ingredients in their drinks and food. Their fall highlights include a pistachio cardamom latte, a maple ube latte, and the ever-popular pumpkin spice latte. If you need a bite to eat, we’d recommend trying their pumpkin spice morning bun or the pecan sweet potato danish.
Fall Events
Wauwatosa has no shortage of events for you, your friends, and family to check out this fall. The Village Trick or Treat and Costume contest on October 24th will be a night filled with spooky fun and plenty of treats! However, the fun doesn’t have to end once Halloween is over! November will bring a Sip & Stroll in the Village. Wine samples and deals at local businesses? That sounds like quite the treat! Our full event schedule for your fall planning can be found here.
