Access to the World’s Largest Music Festival plus quiet nights and comfortable stays, get the best of both worlds when you stay in Wauwatosa. As the Big Gig fills Milwaukee with your favorite bands, fireworks, and festival fun, you can go for the good times and come back for stress and crowd-free shopping, dining, and drinks.

Where to Stay for Summerfest

Wauwatosa is just a 10-minute drive from Henry Maier Festival Park (the Summerfest grounds). Staying just a short drive away means you can avoid the downtown crowds before, during, and after the show. Take in all the Summerfest action, and venture back to Wauwatosa for a crisp, craft beer from a local brewery, plenty of unique boutiques, and places to rest up for another day of music, food, and more.

How to Get To Summerfest

Head to Camp Bar Tosa for a drink or two before the concert and pick up their shuttle from the bar to the Summerfest gates. There are also multiple options using public transit. The Milwaukee County Transit System’s CONNECT BRT line loops from Wauwatosa’s Watertown Plank Road Park and Ride lot to downtown Milwaukee every 10-15 minutes. And back this year, are MCTS’s Freeway Flyer rides. These Flyers offer a special shuttle from park and ride lots including the Watertown Plank Road Park and Ride, and the nearby Wisconsin State Fair park and ride.
