Here in Tosa, we're lucky to have so many wonderful parks and outdoor spaces where you can hike, enjoy views of the river, and trails to bike and walk on. Each provides a wonderful opportunity to explore the outdoors on Earth Day this year. We hope you enjoy our roundup of ways to celebrate Mother Nature in Wauwatosa on her special day!

Hart Park

Hart Park, a 19.5-acre park along the Menomonee River, has everything you need to get active or just have fun outdoors. At the park, you’ll find a splash pad for kids, playgrounds, athletic fields, picnic areas, and an eight-lane running track. We suggest getting on the walking trail with your furry pal on Earth Day. There’s nothing better than soaking in radiant sunbeams while enjoying nature and its beauty with your best friend.  Imported Image

Jacobus Park

This tree-filled park is popular among walkers and joggers following the Oak Leaf Trail in Wauwatosa. It also runs parallel to the Menomonee River Parkway and is used for hiking, biking and nature trips. Other features include a wading pool, tiny tot play lot and picnic areas. Grab your helmet, a comfortable pair of shoes, and a water bottle for a day of biking to celebrate mother nature.

Hoyt Park

Hoyt Park is a hotspot for both kids and adults, especially during the summer, with the popular Tosa pool, The Landing beer garden, soccer fields, volleyball courts and more. Start with a walk or jog through the iconic bridge at the entrance and follow the trails alongside the Menomonee River. Imported Image

Hartung Park

This wonderful neighborhood park lies on the site of the former Hartung Quarry and is home to a pond, children’s playground, walking trails, and an intricate stone labyrinth. Grab your yoga mat and find a grassy area for a relaxing session overlooking the water. Hartung Park is the perfect place to meditate and find serenity as you breathe in the fresh air.  Regardless of how you choose to honor Earth Day, we hope that you find respite by slowing down, unplugging and appreciating the beautiful sounds and views of your natural surroundings wherever you are; and remember, you can celebrate Mother Nature every single day. We hope this has inspired you to plan your next outdoor adventure in our beloved Tosa!
