If there’s one thing we know, it’s how to do the weekend right. Everyone’s got their own spin on it but there are some staples that make every weekend perfect, every time. See what’s in store.

First Up: Coffee & Breakfast

Sure, there are coffee shops around every corner of Wauwatosa (what can we say, we like a little pep in our step). But if you’re looking for a delicious option that has it all, try some of the California-inspired dishes at Golden Nest, conveniently located at the Mayfair Collection, just make sure you save some room for the rest of your day. Or, if you find yourself near The Village of Wauwatosa, stop into Venetta Coffee Bar for authentic Italian coffee flavors.

Stop by the Farmers Market

You don’t have to be a local to know about the Wauwatosa Farmers Market. Located in the historic Village of Wauwatosa, this market is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. If you skipped step one, the Farmers Market has you covered with coffee and food as well as your favorites. While you’re there, stock up on your favorite farm-fresh produce, beautiful cut flowers, award-winning cheese, fresh bread, and start your day with live music, great vibes and sunshine.

Spend Some Time Outdoors

You can take your goods to go and venture down the Oak Leaf Trail to Hart Park or the Menomonee River Parkway. Or load up the kids, and your Farmers Market haul and head over to the Firefly Grove Park to spend some time with Mama Rosa and let the family burn some energy on the playground.

Squeeze in Some Shopping

What better way to fill in some downtime with a little window shopping (or real shopping if you’re up for it). Bop around the Village of Wauwatosa and discover unique shops and specialty goods. The Village of Wauwatosa offers everything from clothing and jewelry to chocolates and cheese. You can also head over to Mayfair Mall or the Mayfair Collection to find score some name-brands you won’t find nearby. Stock up on home goods at Crate & Barrel or treat yourself to something special at Nordstrom.
