Welcome to the Pump Track at Firefly Grove Park
We’re thrilled to be bringing you the only pump track in Southeastern Wisconsin and introducing a fun way for the whole family and all your friends to get active together. So, if you’re ready to get in a good workout, get creative on the course, and enjoy some time outdoors, grab your helmets and get over to Firefly Grove Park’s pump track.
What is a Pump Track?
A pump track is a loop or course designed with banks (berms), dips, and mounds that let riders use their body weight and movements like pumping for momentum rather than pedaling. The various turns, banks, hills and connections let riders get creative with how they approach the course, making each lap a unique experience. Our pump track is the first in Southeastern Wisconsin, with a multidirectional design and various transfer points. Featuring two wall rides and two deep bowls, riders can choose their own adventures when it comes to difficulty and route.

All Are Welcome
Whether you’re an experienced rider or this is your first time, the pump track is a great place to get outdoors and get moving. Less experienced or younger riders can learn the ropes on the smaller loop. Its flatter hills let you get used to the pumping motion and often have less cross traffic to look out for.
Pump tracks aren’t just for bicycles. Skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, you name it, you’ll see it on a pump track. Just remember that we’re all sharing the track and to use proper etiquette so that everyone can have a safe and enjoyable time.
Know Before You Go:
Pump tracks are designed for everyone to use, but a little prep can go a long way for safety and fun.
- Always wear a helmet! Pads and gloves can also be helpful.
- Fill your tires. Your tires should be filled to a high pressure to be able to properly cruise through the pump track.
- Lower your seat. This will help you from landing on it and help you from flipping over your handlebars.
- Know your limits. Take it slow and get to know the course before going full speed.
- Watch the weather. The track can be slippery after rainfall.
- Bring water. Stay hydrated on those hot days.
- Ride with caution and be polite.
