ART 64®
The Nation's Largest Live Painting Tournament
June 5–6, 2026 | The Village of Wauwatosa
Watch Art Happen. Help Decide Who Wins.
Every round, the clock is ticking. Every vote counts. ART 64® is the nation's largest live bracket-style painting tournament and it returns to The Village of Wauwatosa on June 5–6. Sixty-four artists. Live painting in the streets. Real-time fan voting. Plus dining, shopping, and experiences around every corner. Come for the competition. Stay for everything else.
How It Works
Every June, ART 64® kicks off the summer event season in Wauwatosa by taking over the streets of The Village. Over two days, 64 artists compete head-to-head in a live, bracket-style tournament, painting on canvas, in public, under the clock.
Each round, artists are given a set amount of time to create:
- Round 1 — 60 minutes
- Round 2 — 75 minutes
- Round 3 (Finals) — 90 minutes
After each round, you decide who advances. Spectators in person and online can vote for their favorites in real time. The last artist standing takes home the $20,000 grand prize.
More Than a Competition
ART 64® is a full weekend experience. Beyond the bracket, expect:
- Live music and entertainment
- Food trucks and local eats
- A kids' area packed with activities
- Access to The Village's restaurants, shops and experiences
Whether you're an art lover, a casual visitor, or bringing the whole family, there's something for everyone across both days.
Own a Piece of It
Every painting created during the tournament is available for purchase through a live online auction during the event. Don't miss your chance to bring home original art created right before your eyes.
A Growing Movement
What started as a local event has grown into one of the most exciting live art competitions in the country. In 2025, Art 64® drew over 400 applicants from 37 states and 16 countries. Come be part of this Midwest must-see art event.
